The Honeymoon

So, we headed out to Foxwoods for our 20th Anniversary honeymoon and it was an awesome get-away. After work, we checked into a beautiful suite, had a delicious dinner at the Cedars Steakhouse, had drinks and dancing at The Atrium and then spent the rest of the night in the casino. It was great to get away and spend some time together in that way... falling asleep in the jacuzzi at 2:30am and my new anniversary bling were also highlights.

I'm very lucky to have married a man that is not only my husband, children's father and lover but also my friend... So here's to you!

Check out that hair!! hehehe

Could it actually be.....

the SUN?!!

Holy Toledo, there it is; peeking out of the clouds for the first time since May 7th. Could it mean that spring is finally here? I certainly hope so. Now, I love rain and looking out the window in spring to see the green world but this has been ridiculous. Not only had it been rainy but cold and raw as well. We actually have had our fire lit all week. Not something that's typical of May!

So, enough about that, today is our 20th Anniversary so it's off to Foxwoods for the night. But first, it's work for me.

Success!

So, last we left off, I had been totally disgusted and had re-joined Weight Watchers. Well, after my first week I lost 4 pounds but gained something much more... control! Coupled with my Brain Gym exercises I'm heading down the right path.

I'm heading out in a bit to see my mom who just moved back home from her winter hide-away... I'm anxious to see her as it's been far too long. I can totally understand why she feels so good in AZ... it has been raiing and raw here since last weekend and we don't expect to see the sun until at least Wednesday. I'm all for green grass but this is ridiculous. I'm so ready for warm spring sunshine!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and we don't have any plans. My husband is working so I'll just hang home and probably curl up with a book. It's just as well for me since I prefer to be home than out anyway. It will be nice to sleep in a bit and do much of nothing else.

Looks like I'm in for another busy week ahead. We're in the homestretch for school though, which is nice! Wednesday will be our 20th Anniversary so we're heading to Foxwoods for the night and I'll take Thursday out of school... yippee!!
