July Rocks!

Summer is officially here... and although I have yet to sit by the pool this year, it's feeling like vacation. I love being able to get up and get my workout in first thing in the morning, constantly be able to keep after the kids and the little things that they leave hanging around and doing laundry and hanging out a couple of loads every day. These might seem like small things to some, but they are things that I personally take great pleasure in...

We're having a cookout on the 4th if the weather is nice.. and it looks like it's shaping up to be a good day. I hope so because these days, Auntie Karen has no toys or anything to keep the little ones busy if we're stuck inside. We've got to head out to Lowes at some point today to pick up a new umbrella as ours just broke. Also, the word for today is yardwork.... those 2 weeks of rain meant tons of weeds and my garden and flower beds need some real attention.

Thursday night, we attended the RI Italian American Hall of Fame Awards where Tedy Bruschi was awarded Man of the Year. We got to speak to him for a little bit which was nice. Head over to Patriotworld.com for pictures and a link to the podcast. Yesterday, we headed up to Zip's house for an offseason tailgate... (pictures to follow as well).

I've only got this week to get my new podcast off the ground because starting next week, I'll be attending a training at the RI Dept. of Ed. which will last 7 work days... (what WAS I thinking??) It ends on July 17th then Training Camp kicks off on July 28th so I'll be super-busy from then on... My "summer" and leisure time literally ends when camp begins. Don't get me wrong, it's my favorite time of the year, but when it comes, it means that I'll be on duty reporting, podcasting, and updating the site full time.

Enjoy life...
