Greetings from Minnesota

Greetings from Minnesota! Big Al and I are out here with the mini-trek crew of Steve and Bama for the Pats/Vikings Monday Night Football game. We're hanging in the lobby of the hotel right now waiting for Steve to get here so that we can make a dry run to find the stadium and parking then we're heading over to check out the Mall of America. Later we'll watch Colts/Broncos in the lobby and wait for the team to arrive.

Life is good and we love to do our treks. Be sure to check out our adventures on the Trek Page of the website. We have a great time together and love to spend our vacation time taking mini trips. This was our first time to Minnesota and we're heading to Miami in December with the kids. Bama is trying to talk us into joining him in Tennessee on New Years Eve... he'll likely succeed...

Heading out soon... need to refill the coffee and take off. We gained 2 hours in our day yesterday due to the Central Time Zone and also due to the changing of the clocks for daylight savings time. I was awake for the day at 4:30AM as it was really 6:30AM for my body.... Had a great run on the treadmill and will do it again tomorrow. That's just one thing that I miss about summer...

Well more later...

sigh.....

Heading out to PPAC this afternoon for Beauty and the Beast then I'll be shopping tonight for the tailgate food and cooking to get ready for tomorrow's game. This is another busy weekend with plans on Friday, Saturday and Sunday... sigh... I don't particularly like weekends that are jam packed... Thankfully, I have Monday off to do some of those usual weekend things that just don't go away just because I'm busy...

This hasn't been the easiest week emotionally... some real challenges at work dealing with behaviors and feeling overwhelmed in terms of not knowing what to do with specific students. Teaching special needs means just that... special circumstances surrounding each child... and sometimes trying different approaches and behavior plans to see what's the best bet... but it's hit or miss sometimes... and then, just when you think you've got it under control, things that worked no longer do and you have to come up with something new. I hate not feeling in control... and it's so hard to have to keep reinventing the wheel....

Sigh... just stuff piling on...

It looks like a nice sunny, fall day out there... and my house and yard are all decorated :-) Time to head out soon.
